DESCRIPTION
Amazon MGM Studios seeks a Sales Manager, Theatrical Distribution for Italy to execute sales and distribution plans across all theatrical releases.
The role manages a portfolio of key Italian exhibitors across dedicated distribution areas, coordinates booking activities and holdover planning, and ensures the effective execution of theatrical distribution plans. Working closely with internal teams and exhibition partners, it contributes to maximizing the commercial performance of each theatrical release across the Italian market.
This position reports to the Head of Italy Theatrical Distribution.
The applicable collective agreement for this role is CBA for employees of Telecommunication Sector. The position is classified at level 7 or above, depending on the candidate's skills, competences and experience.
Key job responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of key Italian exhibitors and execute sales plans across dedicated distribution areas.
- Lead holdover negotiations and screen allocations with local cinema owners, cinema circuits and independent exhibitors.
- Oversee weekly booking activities, session planning and holdover implementation to maximize screen count and theatrical performance across the Italian market.
- Collaborate with external sales agencies to coordinate booking activities and support theatrical release execution across assigned territories.
- Monitor title performance throughout the theatrical run to identify commercial opportunities and support decisions on screen expansions, contractions and movements.
- Provide commercial updates and market feedback across assigned exhibitors and distribution areas to support sales decisions.
- Coordinate KDM (Key Delivery Message) operations.
- Maintain the local theatrical release schedule, monitoring competitor activity and release date changes.
- Conduct competitive analysis and release date viability assessments to ensure optimal market positioning for Amazon MGM titles.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in analysing data and creating reports for leadership
- Experience in complex problem solving, and working in a tight schedule environment
- Experience in theatrical distribution, sales positions within the entertainment industry.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain exhibitor relationships and negotiate effectively.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Deep knowledge of the Italian theatrical exhibition market dynamics and trends.
- Familiarity with film industry economics, revenue models and box office analytics.
- Experience with competitive positioning and strategic release planning.

The minimum gross base salary for this position is listed below. The base salary listed corresponds to working on a full-time basis. For tempo parziale hours, the salary will be pro-rated.
Amazon reserves the right to offer a higher salary and/or level, depending on the candidate's skills, competencies, and experience. Amazon's package may include a sign on payment. In addition, the candidate may be eligible to participate in a restricted stock unit scheme operated independently by Amazon.com Inc. in USA.
Your recruiting team will share final salary and any restricted stock unit scheme if applicable, depending on skills and requirements.
In addition to statutory benefits, and those applicable to the relevant CBA, company supplementary benefits may apply subject to further terms.
