We offer a dynamic, forward‑looking environment that enables our employees to grow, innovate and excel. /p h3Join Schindler as a Senior Mechanical Engineer (m/f/d) /h3 pWe are seeking a bSenior Mechanical Engineer /b to strengthen our RD Mechanical Engineering team. /p pIn this role, you will act as a bsubject matter expert /b, responsible for the design, development and validation of mechanical solutions for elevator systems and components. /p pYou will drive engineering activities from concept through release, provide technical guidance to the team and ensure that solutions meet the highest standards of quality, performance, safety and cost efficiency. /p pYou will collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders and support the growth of junior engineers through mentoring, knowledge sharing and technical coaching. /p pbLocation: /b Milan, Lombardy, Italy (Hybrid: 1 day/week working from home) /p h3Your Responsibilities /h3 pAs a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will contribute to the development and industrialization of innovative mechanical solutions for elevator products. /p pYour responsibilities include: /p ul liLeading the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies for elevator systems, ensuring compliance with technical, safety and quality requirements /li liCreating and reviewing 3D models,



drawings and engineering documentation using bPTC Creo /b and managing product data within bWindchill /b /li liDriving technical decision‑making and providing engineering guidance across development projects and design reviews /li liPerforming engineering calculations, tolerance analysis and technical validations to ensure robust and reliable solutions /li liSupporting product verification, prototyping and testing activities, analyzing results and implementing corrective actions when required /li liEnsuring design‑to‑cost, manufacturability, maintainability and serviceability throughout the product lifecycle /li liCoordinating with cross‑functional teams including RD, Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality and Supply Chain /li liActing as a technical mentor for junior engineers, supporting their development and promoting engineering excellence within the team /li /ul h3Required Qualifications /h3 ul liBachelor’s or Master’s degree in bMechanical Engineering /b /li liSeveral years of experience in mechanical design and product development within industrial engineering environments /li liAdvanced proficiency in bPTC Creo /b for 3D modeling,



assemblies and detailed engineering design /li liStrong experience with bWindchill /b and engineering documentation/release processes /li liProven experience in technical leadership, coordination of engineering activities and mentoring of less experienced engineers /li liStrong knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials and manufacturing processes /li liExperience performing engineering calculations, tolerance analysis and technical problem‑solving /li liAbility to work effectively within international and cross‑functional teams /li liStrong communication, decision‑making and stakeholder management skills /li liHigh level of self‑motivation, accountability and result orientation /liliEnglish — Medium to Advanced /li /ul h3Nice to Have Qualifications /h3 ul liExperience in the belevator, escalator or vertical transportation industry /b /li liExperience in the design and development of elevator mechanical components /li liFamiliarity with validation testing, FEM analysis and product verification activities /li liExperience supporting industrialization and manufacturing optimization initiatives /li liExperience working within global RD organizations and international product development projects /li /ul h3Diversity Inclusion /h3 pAt Schindler Group we value inclusion and diversity, and practice equity to create equal opportunities for all.
