ph3The Opportunity /h3 pTetra Tech is looking for a full-time Energy Efficiency Professional/Energy Engineer to serve as a Resource Efficiency Manager (REM) Level III on site at Naval Support Activity (NSA) Naples in Italy, supporting the Navy Europe Africa Central (EURAFCENT).
/p h3Position Summary /h3 ul liWork as a member of the Tetra Tech Energy Team to provide comprehensive energy management services to support the Region and Installation Energy Managers of NSA Naples and EURAFCENT.
/li liServe as the primary resource for facility energy needs to identify energy conservation opportunities and facilitate the implementation of projects, initiatives, and programs aimed at reducing energy consumption and demand, saving costs, and promoting environmental sustainability.
/li liAssist the installation in the development and implementation of their energy management program focused on identification of energy projects targeting security, resiliency, reliability and efficiency.
/li liProvide subject matter expertise on building control systems, microgrids, battery energy storage systems and renewable energy systems.
/li liWork collaboratively with both the customer and Tetra Tech, acting as an on-site agent to drive energy and cost savings while achieving federal and Navy objectives.

/p h3Essential Job Functions /h3 pThe following duties are considered essential to the role.

Primary duties will focus on energy management, including energy program management services to include: /p ul liWalk facilities to perform energy audits and identify conservation opportunities.
/li liWork with the client facility team to identify energy-efficient solutions to facility issues and challenges.
/li liConduct design reviews to ensure optimal energy efficiency in alignment with federal and Navy standards.
/li liProvide installation-wide support for facility projects to ensure energy efficiency and water conservation measures are incorporated into renovations, repairs, and new construction.
/li liAssist with the identification, development, and review of Energy Performance Contracts.
Provide measurement and verification support.
/li liAssist with development of Energy Resilience and Conservation Investment Program (ERCIP) projects.




/li liIdentify and develop energy- and water-efficiency improvements across facility types.
/li liJustify energy projects with engineering calculations to prove estimated savings and perform life?cycle cost analyses (LCCA).
Analyze and develop distributed generation and renewable energy projects.
/li liProvide energy training and support to client staff.
/li liCollect, analyze, and report utility usage and cost data; provide insight on utility procurement strategies to reduce costs.
/li liRecommend improvements to operations and maintenance practices that reduce costs, reduce energy and water usage, and improve overall facility.
/li liPrepare technical writing for energy audits and other reports.
/li liWork independently and collaboratively with the client, the other local Tetra Tech REM, and the greater Tetra Tech REM program.
/li /ul h3Required Qualifications /h3 ul liDegree and Years of Experience: REM III must have expert knowledge and proficiency in the REM technical skill areas and meet one of these education/experience combinations: ul li4-year technical/engineering degree (preferably mechanical or electrical engineering) and/or PE registration, with at least 9 years of experience in energy management; or /li liScience, business, or related degree with at least 12 years of experience in energy management; or /li li2-year technical degree with at least 15 years of experience in energy management; or /li liNo degree with at least 18 years of experience in energy management.
/li /ul /li liCertifications: REM must either be a Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Energy Auditor (CEA), or Professional Engineer, or complete the certification and provide evidence of certification within one year of being hired.
/li liSecurity Clearances: Able to obtain and maintain US federal contractor security clearance.
U.S. citizenship required.
/li liKnowledge, skills, experience: ul liProficient computer skills, including the use of spreadsheets, especially MS Excel, MS Teams, and other database applications.
/li /ul /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liStrong HVAC background and experience with design reviews, energy auditing, project development, renewable energy, life?cycle cost analysis, direct digital controls, retro?commissioning, building/system optimization, and facility management /li liKnowledge of utility information systems, energy management technologies, and metering /li liExcellent verbal and written communication skills /li liExcellent analytical, interpersonal, and presentation skills /li liExcellent problem-solving skills and ability to produce results /li liAbility to produce technically correct finished work, including technical reports, white papers, metrics, and briefs /li liPrevious experience working at Federal facilities, especially with the Navy or Marines, is a plus /li /ul h3Physical Requirements /h3 ul liExert up to 20 lbs.

/li /ul h3Work Environment/Environmental Factors /h3 ul liThis position requires regular work in an office environment, as well as walking or driving to facilities on NSA Naples or other sites in EURAFCENT.
/li liYou need to be able to perform work safely in the Italy climates year-round outdoors.
/li liYou may be required to climb ladders and access roofs and narrow mechanical rooms.
