OverviewThe selected candidate for the Laboratory Technician position will report directly to the Vacuum Science Laboratory Manager and will be involved in experimental laboratory activities supporting the development of products and technologies for high and ultra-high vacuum applications. The resource will operate in a dynamic and highly technological environment, collaborating with scientists, product development engineers, and other technicians to achieve project goals.
Main Responsibilities
- Vacuum Science Laboratory Activities:
- Perform laboratory tests for the characterization of pumps, materials, and vacuum systems under high and ultra-high vacuum conditions.
- Prepare mechanical, electrical, and vacuum experimental setups according to operating procedures and work instructions.
- Support experimental campaigns, ensuring compliance with quality, cost, and timeline standards.
- Use measurement and data acquisition systems to monitor process parameters and vacuum system performance.
- Analyze and process experimental data,



preparing technical reports and presentations of results for the development team and Senior Scientists.
- Manage routine and extraordinary maintenance of test benches and assigned laboratory equipment.
- Ensure order, safety, and proper organization of laboratory spaces and equipment.
- Support for Thin Film Deposition Activities:
- Support thin film deposition activities in vacuum chambers for industrial and scientific applications.
- Collaborate in the preparation of mechanical and electrical setups required for deposition processes.
- Monitor deposition processes and contribute to post-process characterization activities and the compilation of related technical documentation.

Technical Skills
- Ability to collect and process data using main software applications and data acquisition systems.
- Ability to represent and analyze experimental results.
- Strong aptitude for practical laboratory work and the management of complex experiment
