The
BESS Delivery & Service Engineer (Utility Scale)
is responsible for the execution and lifecycle support of
large-scale battery energy storage projects
after the project is secured by the sales and presales teams.
The role manages the
technical delivery, commissioning, and operational & maintenance support
of utility-scale BESS projects, working closely with EPC contractors, grid operators, and project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Handover from Sales / Presales
Take over BESS projects from the
sales and presales teams
after contract signing.
Review technical proposals, system configurations, and service scope.
Confirm system design and project requirements with internal teams and customers including: System design, Grid requirements, Performance guarantees, Project schedules,etc
Ensure project milestones are achieved according to schedule and budget.

Project Commissioning Planning and Execution
Manage the
full lifecycle delivery of utility-scale BESS projects .
Coordinate with EPC contractors, integrators, and equipment suppliers. Guide EPC for the equipment unloading, installation etc.
Ensure compliance with technical specifications, grid requirements, and safety standards.
3. Commissioning & Grid Integration
Develop and execute commissioning plans, procedures, and checklists for BESS projects.
Conduct commissioning for battery racks, BMS (Battery Management System), PCS (Power Conversion System), EMS (Energy Management System) and MV transformer.
Validate integration of electrical, control, and communication systems.
Conduct grid compliance and performance verification tests
Work with grid operators and technical partners to complete system integration and SAT.
Work with technical support teams to resolve technical issues during commissioning.
