Brenntag Food & Nutrition Italy is a state of the art centre entirely dedicated to the development, production, and distribution of food ingredients and solutions.Innovation & Application Centre includes dedicated areas for bakery, convenience food, ready meals, soups and sauces, meat, poultry and fish, dairy and ice cream, functional foods, supplements, and dietetic products, equipped with pilot plants and technologies capable of scaling industrial processes.
Application Technologist will play a key role in supporting the development and implementation of new applications for the bakery market, contributing to product innovation and the technical-commercial growth of the Business Unit.
Role Purpose The position is responsible for the development, validation, and optimization of new applications in the bakery segment, working closely with the technical, sales, and marketing teams to introduce innovative, functional, and sustainable solutions to the market.
Develop new formulations and applications for the bakery market




Perform laboratory and pilot-scale trials to assess ingredient functionality and process performance, ensuring thorough documentation of results
Provide technical support to the sales team, offering expertise on ingredients, formulations, and applications for customer projects
Collaborate with suppliers and technology partners to test and evaluate new ingredients or innovative solutions
Prepare samples, prototypes, and technical documentation to support development activities and customer presentations
Contribute to the launch of new food solutions in collaboration with the technical marketing team
Ensure that project knowledge and application data are effectively documented and shared within the team
Comply with all relevant safety, quality, and food hygiene standards during laboratory and pilot-scale activities
Degree in Food Science and Technology, Food Engineering, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
