Department Overview
The Data Center SSD Firmware team develops advanced embedded firmware solutions for Micron’s next-generation storage products.

The team focuses on delivering high-performance and reliable firmware for enterprise and cloud environments, working closely with hardware, validation, and system engineering teams.
Position Overview
As a Firmware Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will build high-performance controller firmware for volatile and non-volatile memory systems.





You will support the evaluation, development, testing, debugging, and failure analysis of firmware for next-generation memory controllers and Data Center Solid State Drives (SSD).

You will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to resolve product development issues, triage failures, and isolate firmware and system-level issues.
Responsibilities
* Develop, test, and debug embedded firmware for Data Center SSD controllers and memory systems
* Analyze firmware behavior, troubleshoot failures, and perform root-cause analysis
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, reproduce, and resolve product issues
* Contribute to firmware validation, integration, and performance optimization activities
* Participate in code reviews, bug tracking, and continuous improvement of development processes
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or
