NOTE: This is a trainee position, target UC-05. Position may be filled at the UC-06 or UC-05 grade level. If position is filled at the UC-06 grade level, incumbent may be promoted non-competitively to the UC-05 grade level upon completion of necessary training and after he/she has met the necessary qualification requirements, quality of experience and upon recommendation of the supervisor.

Hauptaufgaben
Incumbent repairs and maintains facility heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems,



applying knowledge of electronic theory and basic logic circuits while working with industrial controls systems (ICS) such as Energy Management and Controls Systems (EMCS) as part of the overall operation of facility HVAC systems. Troubleshoots and repairs various types of electronically controlled HVAC units and systems and self-contained and/or stand-alone HVAC unit controls. Applies control knowledge to determine if any defects are present, explores probable reasons for equipment faults. Locates, isolates, and corrects equipment, component, and subassembly malfunctions associated with local area network, wireless devices, servers, control panels, control hardware and software used in HVAC and EMCS systems such as temperature sensors, electric, air, water, and gas meters. Performs pre-testing, operational functions, and final testing, tuning, alignment, and/or calibration of installed moderately complex electronic and conventional HVAC, ICS, and EMCS controls systems.
