Working closely with our established PCS team in Germany, you will act as the technical interface between our Italian and German engineering teams, driving cross-functional alignment and technical decision-making across multiple engineering disciplines.The Senior PCS Engineer is the Control System technical leader for assigned projects and programs (new product or peripherals development, or changes to existing ones) and connects the process development, system development and machine safety teams on one side,



with the software development, electrical, and pneumatic design teams on the other.Main responsibilities include:Driving the identification and consolidation of requirements for the Machine Control System of Nikon SLM machines and peripheral devicesDevelop overall control system architectures and functional concepts, translating system requirements into subsystem-level solutionsStrong communication and coordination with internal control system design team in Germany and other internal company stakeholders in the development of individual subsystem concepts for the Machine Control SystemDrive the definition of Machine Control System I/O and interfaces (mechanical, logical, electrical) within the system and with external systemsCoordination with the Software Development team in Italy in implementing concepts in software, control system logics and algorithms to realize design requirements
