**Duties**: - Observes and records pertinent vital signs and orders laboratory procedures on patients that may be required for clinician.
- Assists in counseling and educating patients to include prenatal and postpartum care, acute or chronic illness, wellness/preventive health measures, family planning, and immunizations
- Operates, and monitors specialized equipment such as Electrocardiogram (ECG) machine, Nebulizer Spirometry, Pulse Oximeter machine, suction equipment and any other equipment used in the delivery of patient care
- Utilizes automated programs and information technology as effective communication and management tools to facilitate the patient experience and coordination of care. **Requirements**:
**Conditions of Employment**: - You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Applicants must comply with the Exceptional Family Member Program requirements as outlined in the DoD Instruction 1315.19.
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required
- This position has specific initial background investigation and periodic re-verification requirements since its duties require interaction with children and youth under the age of eighteen (18) years of age on a recurring basis.
- Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
- All Health Care Providers must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) training and certification that is sponsored or endorsed by the American Heart Association (AHA).




- Current Advanced Life Support or other advanced certification does not supersede BLS completion.
- A pre-placement medical examination is required.
- Applicants must be able to fulfill credentialing requirements and obtain and maintain appropriate/relevant clinical privileges. **Qualifications**:
**Who May Apply: US Citizens** **Basic Requirement for (Clinical Nurse)**:
**Degree**: A graduate or higher level degree, bachelor's degree, associate degree, or diploma from an accredited professional nursing educational program is required. This education must have been accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs, Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education, or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. **Degree from Foreign Nursing School**: Official certification from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools is required for individuals who graduated from foreign nursing schools. **Licensure**: Applicants must have passed the National Council Licensure Examination and possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. **Qualification Requirements: In addition to meeting the basic requirement above,



to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below**:
**Education Substitution**: Possession of a master's degree in professional nursing; or **Degree and Experience**: Possession of a diploma, associate degree, or Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from a professional nursing program **and**at least one full year of professional nursing experience (equivalent to the GS-7 grade level or above). **Professional Nursing**Experience is defined as**: One year of experience which includes performing direct nursing care to clinic patients to include triage, procedures, nurse-managed protocols, and medication management; assisting clinician with physical examinations, treatments, diagnostic procedures, and coordination of health care needs of patients. **Education**:
**Additional information**: - Direct Deposit of Pay is required.
- U.S. citizens overseas under ordinarily resident status are not eligible for appointment under the Status of Forces Agreement.
- This is a 53 Career Field position.
- If an employee brings a child to an overseas location and that child is entitled to attend a DoD school on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, the DoDEA and the Military Department responsible for providing related services will ensure that the child, if eligible for special education, receives a free appropriate public education, including related services pursuant to DoDI 1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12.
