Bozen/Bolzano full-time Institute for Renewable Energy Short description of the position:
The researcher will collaborate in the Energy Efficient Buildings research group, specifically in the area of the Building Envelope Technologies. **Tasks**:
The researcher will work on: - Modelling, testing and measuring the performance of different envelope technology, components and whole façade systems for comfortable and efficient buildings
- Definition of metrics and indicators for characterising the performance of advanced building envelope systems
- Study and development of envelope technological solutions
- Management of specific research tasks, working autonomously as accountable, with continuous reporting feedback to the line manager **Requirements**: - Technical master degree (Engineering, Physics or equivalent)
- Knowledge of building physics
- Knowledge of building modelling and simulations tools (e.g. TRNSYS or Energy Plus or equivalent) for a comprehensive evaluation of performance, including energy demand and indoor conditions,
depending on different building configuration and management
- Data analysis with Python (e.g. Pandas)
- Experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is a plus.
- Ability to carry out tasks autonomously with a constant collaboration with the line manager and team
- Excellent written and spoken English skills; knowledge of either Italian or German is a plus. We offer: - The chance to work with local and international research centres, universities and industry partners
