As a Principal Technical Program Manager on our Digital Sovereignty team, you will drive strategic programs that enable AWS customers to maintain control over their data while leveraging the full power of AWS cloud services. You will work directly with the Director of Digital Sovereignty and Managing Director of European Sovereign Cloud to orchestrate technical workstreams that support our global strategy and initiatives. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 bStrategic Leadership /b ul liDevelop annual strategic plans that align cross‑functional technical contributors toward unified business outcomes. /li liIdentify gaps and opportunities across countries, architectures, and organizations. /li liInfluence organizational technical priorities and business strategy through data‑driven contributions. /li liMaintain and foster executive relationships at Director and Vice President levels. /li liCollaborate with the Director and Go‑To‑Market team to plan, prepare, and execute high‑impact executive customer engagements, ensuring technical discussions are tailored, well‑coordinated, and aligned to customer priorities. /li /ul bProgram Execution /b ul liLead global programs and coordinate efforts across matrixed teams of Solution Architects, Technical Business Developers, Technical Program Managers, and Account Managers. /li liDrive execution through influence and collaboration, providing technical guidance and mentorship without direct reporting relationships. /li liDefine clear, measurable goals and success metrics aligned with internal Amazon customer needs across diverse business units. /li liAssess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, and make trade‑offs between business needs and technical constraints.



/li liManage team outcomes and cross‑functional deliverables using Salesforce and tracking mechanisms. /li /ul bCross‑Functional Collaboration /b ul liFoster deep collaboration with AWS service teams (EC2, S3, Global Networking, Bedrock), Infrastructure, Partners, and Professional Services. /li liOrchestrate cross‑functional initiatives that accelerate innovation and customer outcomes. /li liFacilitate knowledge sharing and best practice development across technical contributors. /li liBuild organizational capability and ensure consistent approaches to complex technical challenges. /li /ul bTechnical Excellence /b ul liBring strong, data‑driven, and strategic technical judgment to decisions. /li liLead design, implementation, and delivery of highly complex cross‑functional projects in ambiguous or new technology areas. /li liCreate scalable mechanisms, methodologies, and best practices for the organization. /li liRecognize and actively steer teams away from prior technology failure patterns. /li liWrite effective narratives (PRFAQs, strategic documentation) and present to senior leadership. /li liProvide technical review and input to support the go‑to‑market team in developing, scaling, and maintaining internal and external technical enablement materials, ensuring accuracy and technical credibility across internal and external audiences. /li /ul h3Basic Qualifications /h3 ul liExperience in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk and critical path management.



/li liExperience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level. /li li8+ years experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 5+ years with a Master’s degree or equivalent experience. /li liExperience in digital sovereignty, regulated industry, public sectors, regulators, European data regulations and certifications (GDPR, C5, SecNumCloud, etc). /li liDemonstrated experience building processes and working with software development teams. /li liExperience leading creation, revision, and improvement of standard operational procedures (SOPs). /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liExperience in information security and compliance. /li liMaster’s degree in a technical field. /li liExperience presenting to senior leadership. /li liExperience defining KPIs and SLAs used to scale businesses and provide reporting to senior leadership. /li liStrong sense of ownership and ability to promote operational excellence. /li liDeep knowledge of core system technologies or broad understanding of company systems and technologies. /li /ul pAmazon is an equal‑opportunity employer.
