ppWe are looking for a senior mechanical designer with extensive expertise in kinematics and motion systems to join our Research and Development team. /pulliCategory: Professionals /liliContract type: Contract and position commensurate with experience /liliWork arrangement: On-site /liliBusiness Unit: RD /li /ulh3Job Description /h3pThis position will play a key role in the development of our products: automated machines with multiple axes of motion, where the proper definition of kinematics, the sizing of drives, and mechatronic integration are central elements of the design. /ppThe candidate will work closely with the Electrical and Automation departments and will actively contribute to the design of integrated mechatronic systems, in which mechanics, sensors, wiring, and actuators are conceived as a single coherent system. /ph3Main Responsibilities /h3ulliDefine and design bkinematic systems and motion control systems /b (linear, rotary, and combined) for multi-axis automated machines /liliPerform bsizing of motors /b, bgearboxes /b, and btransmissions /b, in collaboration with the electrical department /liliContribute to feasibility studies and architectural decisions for machines to be built /liliDevelop mechanical solutions with strong mechatronic integration (therefore also focusing on actuators, sensors, and wiring)



and geared toward industrialization (manufacturability, assembly, and maintainability) /liliCollaborate on the standardization of ICAM products and the creation of product configurators /liliCollaborate on the prototyping, testing, and validation of developed solutions /liliSupport the definition of bdesign guidelines /b and contribute to the standardization of subsystems /liliLiaise with suppliers and technical partners regarding components and specialized solutions /li /ulh3Profile /h3ulliMaster’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or Mechatronics /liliAt least 7 years of experience in the design of automated machines and mechatronic systems /liliAbility to collaborate across disciplines (mechanical–electrical–automation) and work effectively in a team /liliKnowledge of project management is a plus /liliOrganizational and problem-solving skills /liliDecision making /liliResults-oriented /liliFlexibility in the face of change /liliExcellent knowledge of 3D CAD (Solid Edge) and 2D CAD (AutoCAD) /liliExcellent knowledge of English /liliWillingness to travel /li /ulpICAM S.p.A. is an equal opportunity employer.
