ph3bYour role /b /h3 pThe Site Engineer III core responsibility is to perform infrastructure related activities in our Data Centers to ensure a reliable and efficient operation of the technical infrastructure. This is achieved through maintenance, testing and surveillance of all assets installed. The Site Engineer III is responsible for the planning and control of all day-to-day maintenance activities in cooperation with the Lead Engineer and provide leadership to the site teams, including project management for maintenance related activities. This role is critical to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and deliver client satisfaction, and when applicable being part of a 7x24 shift rotation. /p h3bWhat you’ll do /b /h3 h3bOperations and Compliance /b /h3 ul liLead the planning and execution of equipment or system switching procedures, overseeing the process to guarantee smooth transitions and minimize downtime in data center operations. /li liResponsible for contributing to the DC operating efficiency and the implementation of assigned optimization measures. /li liConsult with site management to provide solutions and adhere to SLAs agreed in customer contracts. /li liEnsure site overall appearance and cleanliness, escalating shortfalls when necessary. /li liProactively indicate and report if SLAs are in danger of being breached. /li liEnsure all work is carried out within a 'safe system' and approved work processes, risk assessment, and specified work procedures, complying with best practice standards and legal requirements. /li liLead and manage projects to identify root causes of facility issues, acting as an escalation point for more junior team members. /li liHandle technically complex and challenging situations, troubleshooting, and providing solutions for potential critical infrastructure availability.



/li /ul h3bMaintenance and Repair Works /b /h3 ul liOversee and execute maintenance and repair tasks assigned by Site Operations Management or planned by the Technical Ops Planning function. /li liContribute to decisions and if mandated take decisions regarding maintenance tasks within local Site Management guidelines. /li liCoordinate and supervise subcontractors and external suppliers. /li liResponsible for troubleshooting, assembly, and daily scheduling of maintenance activities. /li /ul h3bOn-call Duties and Incident Management /b /h3 ul liWhen required, fulfill on-call duties, monitoring infrastructure and conducting site inspections. /li liIncident management in close cooperation with the Manager on Duty. /li liSupporting and when mandated responsible for activating and executing Emergency Operating Procedures where necessary. /li /ul h3bDocumentation and Reporting /b /h3 ul liDocument progress, issues, and results to support audits and customer inquiries. /li liReport and document operational standard deviations, initiating improvement measures. /li liRecord changes to data center infrastructure per change management procedures, notifying customers within agreed timelines. /li liDocument progress, issues, and results of assigned maintenance tasks; supervise, pre-approve, draft, and execute MOPs, Change Requests (CR), and EOPs as necessary. /li /ul h3bTeam Management and Leadership /b /h3 ul liOversee and supervise site teams when requested by Site Management, providing leadership and acting autonomously in decision making for maintenance-related matters. /li liAdopt a mentoring leadership style, advising, training, and guiding less experienced engineers.



/li /ul h3bWhat you’ll need /b /h3 ul liProven experience in ‘Mission critical’ operations and maintenance of large scale electrotechnical and/or mechanical systems. /li liFluent in Italian and English. /li liTechnical education/training certification in the field of ‘Mission Critical’ Operations. /li liEducation to a vocational level in a technical field and/or site engineering position. /li liSkilled in maintenance of electrotechnical and/or mechanical systems. /li liPreferably skilled in the maintenance of fire detection and suppression systems. /li liHVAC Electrical and/or Mechanical. /li liNovice in maintenance of conveyor technique (elevators), and/or technical security systems (CCTV, Access Control). /li liProficient in utilizing various test equipment. /li liHaving excellent problem analysis skills. /li liPro-active with a Customer and Business focused mindset and is searching for ways to enhance the agreed services to provide the customer with the best possible outcome. /li liHas attention to detail and has a ‘Hands‑on’ mentality. /li liIs resilient. /li liGood communication skills. /li liCan demonstrate excellent leadership skills in line with our company expectations. /li /ul pSalary Range: 40,000 - 47,000 EUR gross per year + 10% Premio. /p pNOTES:br/Digital Realty is an equal opportunity employer, EOE/AA/M/F/Vets/Disabled.
