Offer Description
The project will study the composition of minerals with potential environmental impact by assessing their dispersion in various solid matrices, such as rocks and soil, and the associated environmental risk. The analytical techniques adopted will be optical microscopy, X-ray diffractometry, Raman spectroscopy, ICP-MS, and X-ray fluorescence. Spatial distribution will be mapped using GIS and transport and dispersion processes will be modeled. The results will identify the primary sources of the minerals, leading to the production of thematic maps.



The research will contribute to a better understanding of contamination processes, providing tools for sustainable land management and environmental risk prevention. Teaching activities, lasting up to 40 hours, include support for exercises and seminars, while third-mission activities include technology transfer to institutions and dissemination activities.
Admission requirements:
- PhD or equivalent degree obtained abroad;
- Scientific and professional CV suitable for the postdoctoral position.
