Camp Operations Manager | Job Description
Position Summary
The Camp Operations Manager provides dynamic, year‑round leadership, strategic oversight, and hands‑on facility management for Camp Quaker Heights. Serving as the visible face of the camp, this role ensures a welcoming, safe, well‑maintained, and Christ‑centered environment. The Manager drives operational excellence by directly managing property upkeep, leading seasonal staff, and providing exceptional, nimble hospitality to all guests and ministry partners to advance the camp’s mission.
Dual-Reporting Structure
- Spiritual & Operational Supervision: The Manager is directly supervised by the General Superintendent of Iowa Yearly Meeting for day‑to‑day administration, ministry alignment, and organizational leadership.
- Facilities & Governance Accountability: The Manager reports directly to the Camp Quaker Heights Board regarding property stewardship, facility preservation, capital improvements, and overall camp governance.

On‑Site Residency Requirement




The Camp Operations Manager must reside in the camp‑provided on‑site residence. On‑site living is an essential function of this role to ensure property security, continuous grounds monitoring, and immediate, hands‑on response to after‑hours emergencies or guest needs. The residence and household utilities are provided as a core component of the total compensation package.
