The annual gross salary is about 50.000 Euros. The area of research and teaching is General Sociology: Required research commitment: the researcher will carry out their research activity in the field of general sociology, with particular reference to the sociology of knowledge and expertise,



addressing one or more of the following themes: sociological theory, with attention to the classics and traditions of sociological thought and to theorising practices in the contemporary social sciences; the sociology of knowledge and expertise and technical-scientific controversies; the analysis of the cultural, structural and regulatory configurations that shape collective action, with particular attention to the governance of the environment and of technoscience and to the enhancement of democratic processes and civic participation. The researcher must demonstrate a thorough command of classical and contemporary sociological theories. Research experience within international networks and the ability to participate in competitive calls for research funding are also required; Required teaching commitment: the researcher will be responsible, in the first instance, for teaching courses centred on sociological
