In this IT Engineer role, you will join the IT Automation Support Team in Malta to keep robotics and automation lines running. You’ll address incidents, apply workarounds, and drive root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence. You’ll support change requests and test new automation features, contributing to equipment efficiency and robust service delivery. - Handle incidents and requests to restore automation production service on robotics lines; implement workarounds to keep equipment operational
- Analyze issues with structured resolution methods to identify root causes and implement corrective/preventive actions
- Support manufacturing change requests related to new business requirements and aim to improve equipment efficiency
- Troubleshoot applications like AMA, EICs,



and EMCS within the robotics/automation setting
- Apply 8D or similar methodologies to determine root causes and permanent actions
- Test and validate new automation software features ensuring existing functionality remains intact
- Test and deploy new versions of EICs and perform buy-off for new equipment types
- Provide training sessions for key users and maintain comprehensive documentation
- Develop and maintain operating procedures to ensure high-quality customer service within budget and time constraints
- Assist with documentation and SOP improvements to support robust operations
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field
- Knowledge of PL/SQL
- Experience in robotics and automation within manufacturing (AMA and MCS experience is a plus)
