In particular, the FBK Centre for Sensors and Devices (FBK-SD) ( is an applied research centre that operates in the following scientific and technological areas: quantum technologies, detectors, microsystems and integrated systems. The FBK-SD has extremely advanced technical knowhow in innovative devices design and fabrication technologies as well as in the system integration. The strategic mission of the FBK-SD is scientific excellence combined with the ability to exploit research results. The innovation model is open to collaboration in national and international expertise networks.
Workplace Description




The candidate will be working in the Integrated and Quantum Optics (I&QO;) unit of FBK-SD. I&QO; develops, fabricates and characterizes integrated optical circuits realized on different material platforms operating in the visible NIR spectral region. The principal application fields for the integrated optical circuits are biomedical sensing, miniaturization of spectrometers and interferometers, optical navigation systems, and devices for applications in telecommunications among others. I&QO; develops also integrated photonic circuits for experiments in the context of quantum simulation.
