The Opportunity
Join the School of Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications in the Faculty of Engineering at UNSW as a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in an Education Focussed role. These roles are central to UNSW’s commitment to teaching excellence, supporting student success and developing innovative learning experiences that prepare the next generation of electrical engineers.
As a Lecturer, you will contribute to high-quality teaching and learning across Electrical Engineering through the design and delivery of engaging undergraduate and postgraduate courses, learning activities, assessment and feedback. You will support student learning and progression, contribute to curriculum development, and help create an outstanding student experience through innovative and inclusive teaching practices.
As a Senior Lecturer, you will build on this by taking a leadership role in teaching and learning, including leading curriculum development and improvement, mentoring colleagues, contributing to educational leadership within the School,



and helping to shape the future direction of learning and teaching in Electrical Engineering. You will also play a key role in strengthening links with industry and the profession, and contributing to broader educational excellence across the university.
Position Details
- Salary:
- Lecturer (Level B) – AUD (133,065 to )156,864 per annum + 17% superannuation
- Senior Lecturer (Level C) – AUD (161,619 to )185,422 per annum + 17% superannuation
- Employment type: Full-time
- Appointment type: Fixed term, 2-year convertible tenure track (Fixed-term appointment with the potential to convert to continuing employment, subject to a successful review.)
- Location: Kensington – Sydney, Australia
- Reporting line: This role reports to the Head of School and has no direct reports.
