The Doctorate in Research and Studies on Antiquity, the Middle Ages, and Renaissance Humanism, Salerno (RAMUS) is designed as a course of study of the highest calibre for young scholars interested in research and the promotion of integrated,



multifunctional and multidisciplinary knowledge across various academic fields, spanning a historical period that includes Antiquity, the Middle Ages and the Renaissance: Language and Literature, Philology, History, Palaeography, Papyrology, Religions, Archaeology, Philosophy and the History of Philosophy. Its primary objective is to provide comprehensive training in scientific research within these fields of study, achieved through the integration of studies covering all the disciplines and methods necessary for the preservation of this heritage (languages, literature, history, philosophy, archaeology) and its cultural legacy in the contemporary world.
