Data Centre Electrical Design Manager - Italy. Help shape the electrical architecture behind the next generation of Data Centre and AI infrastructure across Southern Europe.
Our client is a major global power infrastructure business making serious, long-term investment in Data Centres. With growing capability across critical power, electrical distribution, modular infrastructure and advanced cooling, the business is building a genuine end-to-end proposition for hyperscale, colocation and AI-led developments. This is a highly visible, forward-facing role for an electrical design leader who wants to influence projects early, work directly with major customers and remain close to the engineering.
You will lead the electrical design scope of complex Data Centre projects from concept and detailed design through construction support, commissioning and closeout.
The role goes well beyond design coordination. You will help shape technical strategy, lead key engineering decisions and work with customers, consultants, contractors and internal specialists to develop resilient,
efficient and scalable infrastructure.
Own critical decisions involving MV, LV, transformers, UPS and standby generation
Review and approve designs, calculations, reports and specifications
Lead customer meetings, design reviews, optioneering and value engineering
Support construction, installation and commissioning activities
Improve design standards, engineering processes and technical quality
Mentor engineers and contribute to the continued growth of the regional design function
You are likely to be working as a Data Centre Design Manager, Lead Electrical Engineer, Principal Electrical Engineer or Electrical Engineering Manager.
Strong electrical design experience within Data Centres or mission-critical infrastructure
Experience leading projects through multiple design and delivery stages
The ability to challenge, approve and take ownership of complex designs
Experience coordinating engineers or multi
