Job Title
Lead Engineer, Mechanical, Product Design and Engineering (Air Cooler Design Engineer)
Responsibilities
- Design the Air Cooler heat exchanger from thermodynamic and mechanical perspectives, ensuring compliance with project requirements and international standards.
- Identify state‑of‑the‑art components and develop improvements for thermal performance and emission reduction.
- Carry out tests and analyses to prove performance enhancements, cost, carbon print, and footprint reductions.
- Understand project requirements for duty, footprint, plant interface and manufacturability.
- Manage workload to deliver timely, high‑quality deliverables.
- Develop product solutions, identify new technologies to enhance performance and reduce emissions.
- Design test benches and define test procedures to validate assumptions and new technologies.
- Collect, analyze and present test results to management.
- Implement results in the design tools and update design standards.

Qualifications
- Energy/Mechanical Engineering degree.
- Proficiency in HTRI or equivalent thermal design software.




- Experience with FEM tools such as Ansys or Fluent.
- Knowledge of acoustic concepts: sound power levels, sound pressure levels, propagation, and reflection.
- Understanding of material characteristics for noise absorption.
- Strong 3D CAD skills (NX or similar) and ability to interface/exchange models with calculation software.
- Cross‑functional team‑working skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to urgent executive requests in a timely manner.
- Fluency in Italian and English.
- Good knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
