- Location: Remote (UK preferred, EU/US considered)
- Experience Level: 3+ years
Job description
Ladder builds outsourced digital growth teams for some of the most ambitious companies in the world.
We're looking for a Paid Media Specialist to join our growing agency and play a pivotal role in the success of our client campaigns. This role sits at the intersection of production, creative strategy, and project management making it central to everything we do.
We’re specifically seeking someone with a strong technical and data-focused mindset, paired with solid business acumen. You'll be responsible for ensuring paid media campaigns are not only well-executed, but also aligned with broader business goals (driving measurable growth and delivering real value for the clients).
This role is for candidates located in European time zones, and we’re specifically looking for people with agency experience that have worked with client teams before.
Contract-to-Hire Structure
This role will start as a contract engagement, with clear intent to convert into a full-time role.
We are looking to make a permanent hire, but we want to find the right candidate and validate the role through real client work before making a long-term commitment. We believe the best way to do that is by working together in practice first.
The initial contract period will be hands-on and embedded in live projects. If there is a strong mutual fit, the intention is for the role to become full-time.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, launch, and manage paid media campaigns across channels including Google Ads (Search, Display, Shopping, UAC, YouTube), Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, and LinkedIn Ads.
- Manage marketing experiments and campaign optimizations based on performance data and strategic goals.
- Monitor and analyze campaign metrics to uncover insights and drive performance improvements.
- Present campaign results and actionable insights directly to clients during regular calls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure paid media efforts align with broader business and marketing strategies.
- Proactively contribute ideas and recommendations to improve client performance and internal processes.
- Stay current with platform updates, industry trends, and emerging tools including AI-based solutions to enhance data and reporting capabilities.
Position requirements
- Fluent English, both written and spoken (we work only in English).
- Must have direct, hands-on experience managing Google Ads (Search and PMax) and be completely comfortable with daily account management, including budget pacing, audience and asset group optimizations, search query analysis, reporting, and maintaining negative keyword lists to maximize ROI.
- Hands-on experience with major social media ad platforms, with deep platform knowledge.
- Proficient with Google Data Studio and reporting dashboards.
- Experience using Google Tag Manager (nice to have, not mandatory).
- Knowledge of tools like Funnel.io, Supermetrics, or other data connector platforms.
- Proven experience running campaigns across key verticals such as E-commerce, Mobile Apps, B2B,
or Finance.
- Confident in reporting and presenting data-driven insights to clients.
- Strong technical and data-focused mindset (able to interpret complex performance data and translate it into strategic action)
- Solid business acumen (understand how campaign performance impacts client goals, revenue, and growth).
- Comfortable proactively contributing ideas and optimizations to improve account performance.
- A passion for continuous learning and professional growth in a fast-paced, innovative agency environment.
- Excellent critical thinking skills capable of applying data and strategy to solve business problems.
- A strong interest in staying current with industry trends and platform updates.
- A collaborative mindset (able to work seamlessly with creative, strategy, and project management teams)
- Effective time management (able to juggle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and prioritize workload efficiently.)
- Curiosity about AI and a willingness to explore tools that enhance performance, reporting, and automation.
Own it: whether it’s something you want to proudly show off or something you’d rather forget (we all make mistakes), we want to be a place where we win (and make mistakes) together. You want to take responsibility for delivering the best that you can and continuously learning. All-day. Every day.
