- Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the Compliance Associate - maternity cover role will make an impact:
- Manage the day-to-day activities of the Company’s Compliance program in Italy.- Develop, initiate, maintain and revise policies and procedures for the general operation of the Compliance program and its related activities, and support operational departments in developing and communicating new and enhanced policies and procedures.- Provide ongoing guidance to Company personnel and providers, when applicable, regarding compliance with applicable compliance policies,
procedures and related company policies.- Be the primary point of contact and liaise with the Company’s Supervisory Board (Organismo di Vigilanza) members, provide them enough information for their supervision activities and support the Company in updating the Organizational Model as per the Italian Legislative Decree 231/2001.- Identify compliance training needs, develop new and enhanced compliance training programs adapted to the particular commercial or support function concerned, and conduct training of Company personnel on a wide variety of compliance topics, as required by industry code and/or Company policy.- Stay apprised of legal and regulatory changes, trade association codes, and industry best practices regarding compliance and strive to implement continuous enhancements to the Company’s compliance program accordingly.- Within the framework of mergers or acquisitions, support integration-related compliance activities in Italy including planning, executing, and monitoring of implementations.- Perform other duties as assigned.- Design and update, on a yearly basis, a monitoring program in accordance with monitoring metrics established by the COE on Monitoring and Audit,
for various activities involving interactions with the Healthcare Community.- Conduct risk assessments and leverage data analytics provided by the Compliance Data Analytics Hub to establish monitoring targets.- Perform monitoring of various marketing and salesforce related activities, whether conducted in-person or virtually, including but not limited to, ride-alongs/remote detailing, site visits, company-organised events, or events sponsored by the Company, as well as aggregate transfers of value to healthcare professionals, healthcare organisations, and patient organisations.- Develop periodic reports and assessments of affiliate operations, business strategy, and local industry environment to identify potential compliance risk areas.- Identify, recommend and implement enhancements to existing practices and other corrective actions as may be appropriate.- Participate in internal or external audits when required by Global audit team or the Compliance Risk Assessment & Monitoring COE.- Suggest audit priority(ies) when appropriate, and support implementation of audit corrective actions, if any. About Your Skills & Experience- Master’s degree in business or law;- 2/4 years of experience in pharmaceutical compliance and/or related governance, legal, finance or audit function;- experience with Italian and/or European pharmaceutical legal issues as a compliance officer or in-house corporate counsel, or ability to learn such quickly in a fast-paced environment, including but not limited to healthcare fraud and abuse laws, False Claims Act, appropriate drug marketing and promotion;- anti-corruption laws including US FCPA, UK Bribery Act, Italian Legislative Decree 231/2001; fair competition laws; data privacy issues, ability to analyze and develop reports; and other compliance issues affecting a multi-national pharmaceutical business;- proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading and writing English is required.
