Investment Director

Rome, Italy A leading European real assets investment manager is looking to appoint an Investment Director to join its growing team in Rome.

The successful individual will take a senior role across the origination, evaluation and execution of investments across the Italian market, with a particular focus on energy transition, renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

- Originate and develop new investment opportunities across the Italian real assets market.
- Lead transactions from initial screening through due diligence, Investment Committee approval, negotiation and completion.
- Take ownership of financial analysis, valuation, transaction structuring and investment returns.
- Coordinate financial, commercial, legal, tax and technical due diligence.
- Lead negotiations with developers, vendors, advisers, financing partners and other counterparties.
- Prepare and present investment recommendations to senior stakeholders and Investment Committees.
- Support portfolio strategy, refinancing, follow-on investments and potential exits.
- Build and maintain senior relationships across developers, advisers, banks and institutional investors.




- Mentor and support junior members of the investment team.

Candidate Profile

- Approximately 10 years’ experience within infrastructure, real assets, renewable energy investment, private equity, M&A; or investment banking.
- Strong track record of executing infrastructure or energy-related transactions.
- Demonstrable experience operating within the Italian market.
- Excellent financial modelling, valuation and commercial analysis capabilities.
- Strong transaction structuring and negotiation experience.
- Ability to independently lead complex investment processes.
- Strong senior stakeholder and Investment Committee exposure.
- Fluent Italian and English.

Relevant sector experience may include solar, wind, BESS, energy networks, sustainable infrastructure, energy efficiency and wider real assets.
