- 6278 EUR/mo### Job DescriptionSAP FICO Consultant – Operations / Post-Go-Live SupportRole overview We are seeking an experienced, hands-on SAP FICO Consultant to join an SAP Operations team supporting an S/4HANA finance landscape.
The role focuses on post-go-live stability, operational support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO) processes.
The consultant will engage directly with business users and technical teams to deliver reliable, fit-for-purpose solutions.Key responsibilities
* Provide day-to-day operational and post-go-live support for SAP FI and CO in an S/4HANA environment.
* Perform hands-on configuration, troubleshooting, testing, and implementation of SAP FICO solutions.
* Resolve incidents, service requests, and production issues; perform root-cause analysis and implement sustainable fixes.
* Support FI processes such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, and financial close activities.
* Support CO processes such as Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing, and profitability reporting as applicable.
* Provide operational support for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing cycles.
* Translate business requirements into SAP configuration and functional solutions; work closely with finance stakeholders.
* Configure and enhance FICO functionality in line with solution standards and governance.
* Manage integrations between FICO and other modules (MM, SD, PS, etc.)



and collaborate with technical teams to resolve cross-functional issues.
* Prepare functional specifications for developments, reports, interfaces, and forms when required.
* Execute functional, integration, and regression testing and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
* Support change requests, release activities, deployments, and transport management.
* Maintain and update functional documentation, runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge-transfer materials.
* Participate in incident, problem, change, and release management processes and meet agreed service levels.
* Identify and drive process improvements, automation opportunities, and system stabilization initiatives.Required skills and experience
* Proven hands-on experience as an SAP FICO Consultant in implementation, application management, or production support roles.
* Strong configuration and troubleshooting skills across SAP FI and CO.
* Solid experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance.
* Deep knowledge of core FI processes (GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, financial close).
* Good understanding of CO and management accounting concepts.
* Demonstrated experience handling production incidents, conducting root cause analysis, and delivering permanent solutions.
* Experience supporting period-end and year-end closing activities in SAP.
* Ability to convert business needs into SAP configuration and functional specifications.
* Experience producing functional specifications and collaborating effectively with technical development teams.
* Strong testing, documentation, and change-management capabilities.




* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
* Able to work independently in a hands-on operational support environment and manage multiple priorities.Language requirements
* Fluent spoken and written proficiency in the local language (Country) is required.
* Strong professional English communication skills are essential.Preferred skills
* Experience supporting large-scale S/4HANA transformations and post-go-live/hypercare phases.
* Exposure to complex, international SAP landscapes and multi-vendor support setups.
* Familiarity with SAP Fiori for Finance/Controlling.
* Knowledge of local finance, accounting, tax, and statutory reporting requirements is advantageous.
