Senior Project Technical Civil Engineer – Hitachi Energy Italia

Join our team in Milan to lead civil engineering activities for Grid Integration projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate civil activities (concrete and steel construction) for Grid Integration projects such as AIS/GIS, HV substations, and power plants, ensuring effective collaboration with technical tendering and project engineering teams.
- Support the development of tender deliverables by coordinating documentation, creating engineering estimates, and performing risk assessments before submission.
- Manage claims related to changes in the civil scope, assessing cost, time impacts, and risks while maintaining customer satisfaction through continuous dialogue and excellent service.
- Collaborate with engineering colleagues to share best practices, optimize processes,



and develop leadership, coordination, and communication skills while upholding core values of safety, integrity, and quality.
- Prepare and review technical specifications, validate equipment, examine static and dynamic verifications, execution plans, and participate in drafting contracts with subcontractors in cooperation with purchasing.
- Ensure compliance with CEI/IEC, Euro Code standards, Italian building code NTC2018, Italian grid codes, and Hitachi Energy QHSE requirements, driving design quality and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 5–8 years of relevant professional experience in civil design and management or a comparable function, preferably in international project business.
- Knowledge of technical regulations such as Eurocode, and proficiency with CAD and BIM tools.
