- Perform mechanical analysis of turbomachinery components and sub-systems, including stress, thermal, vibration and fatigue analysis.
- Utilize advanced simulation tools and techniques to predict the behavior of components under various operating conditions.
- Collaborate with design engineers to develop innovative solutions that enhance the performance and durability of turbomachinery systems.
- Mentor junior analysts, providing technical guidance to ensure high-quality analysis.
- Prepare and present technical reports, analysis results and design recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and implement analysis planning and strategy to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of the analysis process
- Contribute to the definition of new standards and design practices for continuous improvements
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mechanical analysis and turbomachinery design. **Qualifications/Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Experience in mechanical analysis and design, with a focus on turbomachinery components, or complex components
- Proficiency in finite element analysis (FEA) software such as ANSYS, Hypermesh, Nastran, Lifing tools, Matlab or similar tools.
- Understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including stress analysis, fatigue, fracture mechanics and thermal analysis.
- Basic knowledge of CAD software (e.g., NX, CATIA) and familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T;).
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
- Availability of working in classified areas and military programs if requested.
- Solid oral and written communication skills
- Fluency in Italian and English
- Work VISA, according to local regulation, is required **Desired Characteristics**
- Knowledge of materials science and behavior of materials under high-temperature and high-stress conditions.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to turbomachinery and aerospace components.
