Our mission: is to help Heart Surgeons treat Patients better today and in the future. **Position Summary** The _new technologies specialist, laser _is responsible for providing technical and scientific support in the development and innovation of the technological processes related to the manufacturing of heart valves and other medical devices, mainly, but not limited to, Nitinol made components. The position goal is to reliably implement in production the processes related to new products or to design new processes to improve current production. **Essential Job Functions** The _new technologies specialist, laser_ has to
- Lead and support the definition and characterization of the new processes that will be used in the manufacturing phase of the heart valves or medical devices, mainly Nitinol products.
- Provide technological and scientific support on new processes/equipment design and manufacturing, mainly Nitinol laser cutting.
- Ensure the design transfer of new projects to production, from R&D; or Manufacturing Engineering.




- Ability to dig the root cause and fix uncommon problems coming from production line.
- Provides expertise and support in the phase of product design/optimization.
- Support the realization of prototypes in early product design phase
- Participate to the risk assessment for the risks associated with manufacturing processes.
- Support for responses to Notify Bodies and Health Authorities
- Manage all the activity in compliance with the company Quality Management system.
- Technical support to Manufacturing Value Stream Groups when required. **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities** The following knowledge and skills are necessaries.
- Specific knowledge of laser cutting systems or at least complex CNC cutting systems is required.
- Experience with the maintenance of complex CNC cutting systems is a plus
- Knowledge of the manufacturing processes related to the metal parts manufacturing.
- Understanding of technical and quality aspects for the manufacturing of high-tech and high-reliability products.
- Proficiency in 2D CAD
- Understanding of technical drawings and dimensional measuring methods
- Knowledge of main qualification and validation techniques/methods.
- Analytical aptitude.
- Ability to thinking innovatively.
- Focus to results achievement.
- Good communications skills and strong propensity to teamwork.
- Fluent written and oral English knowledge.
- Software skills: CAD (at least 2D), Microsoft Office platform.
- Products, process and material technical regulations knowledge is preferred. **Experience**
- Required: at least 5 of experience in RD, technical department or field service facing problems related to manufacturing technologies
- Preferred: strong experience with laser cutting systems management. **Education**
- Degree in engineering or technical field or proved experience in technical field.
