With the aim of strengthening the R&D; Team, we are recruiting a **Discovery Specialist** You will operate inside the R&D;/Discovery team, devising innovative proprietary substances, technologies and product prototypes in the framework of the Company research and business areas, by taking advantage of the expertise on hyaluronic acid science and on the research on other substances of potential interest. **Main responsibilities**: - Design and chemical synthesis of novel substances and product prototypes; development and optimization of chemical processes.
- Technology transfer of lab-scale processes to pilot scale and support to further scale-up to industrial plants.
- Reporting to the Chemical Research Lab Manager, he/she contributes to the management of in vitro and in vivo non-GLP preliminary studies.
- Supervises external scientific and technical resources, including contract labs and academic
- collaborations.
- Participates in drafting relevant CMC sections of documents for regulatory purposes.
- Supports (as a speaker) marketing/sales in communicating the scientific and technical aspects of new products.Working with the relevant Corporate functions,



he/she supports the Chemical Research Lab Manager in defining lab procedures aimed at guaranteeing the compliance to safety and environmental policies for laboratory workers. **Requirements**: - Master degree in Chemistry/Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology/Biotechnology/Biomedical Engineering. PhD or post-degree specialization is a plus.
- At least 3 years of working experience in the R&D; environment, preferably in a pharma, biotech or medical device industry, with experience in synthetic and analytical chemistry.
- Good knowledge of medicinal chemistry, drug and medical device development process, drug delivery systems design, CMC aspects will be considered a plus.
- Knowledge of Quality and Regulatory aspects of product development is preferred.
- Pro-activity skills, willingness to learn and grow professionally.
- Good public speaking skills are necessary for presentations at conferences and scientific events.
