- We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Customs Classification Specialist to join our EMEA Trade Compliance team. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring accurate and compliant customs classification of goods across global markets, with a strategic focus on supporting global classification initiatives. **Key Responsibilities**- Identify products through the analysis of mechanical drawings and technical documentation
- Classify imported and exported goods in accordance with applicable customs regulations
- Conduct analyses related to Binding Tariff Information (BTI), EU regulations, and rulings on customs classification
- Optimize classification processes and systems to improve efficiency and compliance
- Analyze and continuously improve classification-related processes
- Support both manual and automated self-assessment activities for preferential origin calculations
- Assist in the preparation and implementation of corrective actions resulting from findings during audits and self-assessments-
- **Experience Required**- Technical diploma or degree in mechanical or engineering disciplines, with a solid understanding of automotive industry products
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Previous experience in Trade Compliance, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering
- Knowledge of international customs practices and regulations
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the automotive industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Access, Excel, and PowerPoint), and familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or other business intelligence tools-
