**Job Description Summary**: The Finance DT (Digital Technology) Business Partner is a digital leadership role within the Digital Technology organization that partners closely with the Finance function. The role leads the execution of complex, cross-functional programs in the Finance domain, driving enhancements, projects, and strategic initiatives across Finance systems and processes to ensure alignment with business strategy. It requires strong partnership with the Finance team, extensive engagement with senior executives and external partners, and effective coordination of an internal team and managed service resources. This position is also accountable for the Digital Technology budget, working closely with DT budget owners in Avio Aero and GE Aerospace DT Finance. The role is responsible for strategic DT vendor management in collaboration with Sourcing, ensuring an effective vendor portfolio, regular benchmarking, and the continuous improvement of external service providers. In addition, the role provides digital support to the HR team at Avio Aero, addressing HR processes and tools for specific local needs within the Avio Aero scope. **Essential Responsibilities**: - Operate within the Digital Technology organization and has end-to-end responsibility for digital programs in the Finance domain. The role leads complex, cross-functional initiatives that enhance Finance systems and processes. It manages a team of employees and managed service resources and works in close partnership with Business Stakeholders, the Finance function, and Digital Technology.
- Influence senior executives and key stakeholders, building strong partnerships to define and align technology strategies and program goals with business objectives. Acting as the primary Digital point of contact for Finance stakeholders,
the role ensures that digital solutions and tools align with business strategy, processes, KPIs, cybersecurity, and regulatory standards.
- Own the planning and management of the Digital Technology budget, coordinating with DT budget owners and Finance references and monitoring spending versus plan. It also governs strategic DT vendor relationships through effective portfolio oversight, benchmarking, and oversees the acquisition process for DT services, hardware, and software in collaboration with Sourcing.
- Define program scope, objectives, and success metrics; establishing governance structures; and setting milestones and key performance indicators. The Director leads the planning, execution, and delivery of Finance systems, ensuring on-time, on-budget, high-quality delivery. Program status, risks, and dependencies are monitored and addressed through contingency plans and timely, transparent communication on progress, risks, decisions, and outcomes to all relevant stakeholders.
- Map Finance processes, identifies opportunities for improvement, and leads process improvement and transformation initiatives leveraging digital tools, emerging technologies, data analytics, and lean/continuous improvement practices.
- Provide support to the HR team at Avio Aero on HR-related digital processes, tools, and locally specific requirements, ensuring consistency with broader DT standards while addressing local needs.
**Characteristics/Requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Solid experience in program management, with a focus on finance & HR systems and processes
- _ Program Management Skills_. Proven track record of setting targets, planning and executing complex programs, managing competing priorities, and delivering on-time, on-budget, high-quality outcomes. Strong governance, metrics, and reporting capabilities.
- _ Leadership & Stakeholder Management_. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with demonstrated experience influencing senior executives and leading across a complex, global matrix organization. Ability to build consensus and drive change in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
- _ Problem Solving & Analysis_. Strong business analysis and analytical skills, with the ability to decompose complex problems, predict issues, and convert them into business opportunities or reduced risk. Proven ability to design and implement practical solutions.
- _ Change Management_. Demonstrated ability to act as a change agent: identifying, leading, and embedding change programs that impact critical operations and strategic direction.
- _ Communication_. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical and business concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.
