Description:
Tyvak International is seeking talented new team members to support the development of advanced space vehicles. Tyvak specializes in the development and integration of key components and technologies into highly integrated, high-performance nano-satellite platforms. The team’s expertise spans system architecture, design, manufacturing, and testing of mechanical, electrical, and software subsystems for small spacecraft.
As an Embedded Software Engineer, the candidate will join a collaborative team to develop innovative nanosatellite vehicle solutions for multiple projects. Reporting to the Software Area Manager, the individual will be responsible for software development during all phases of the software development cycle, including requirements, design, implementation, test, integration and documentation in a fast-paced environment.
Specific task will include:
- Working in a small team environment closely with hardware and system engineer to develop optimal solutions to complex problems
- Constructing, developing and testing software applications, drivers or middle-ware in a low-power embedded environment
- Participating in a software requirements generation, design, implementation and testing discussion with multiple team members
- Integrating developed software with hardware test platforms, preexisting software and new software developed by other team members
- Maintaining new and preexisting software solutions to enhance feature sets and to consistently improve overall stability
- Participating in team discussions involving vehicle architecture and design for ongoing and future projects
Requirements:
- BS CS, CPE, EE or equivalent degree required. MS in appropriate filed (e.g. CS,EE) preferred
- 2+ years in coding skills: C,C++, Python, Bash
- 2+ years’ experience in embedded developing
- Testing framework knowledge: pytest, unittest, google test
- Low level programming on serial communication (I2C, SPI)
- Operating system knowledge (Unix and multithreading)
- Knowledge of web development concept (JSON, REST, API, HTTP)
- Basic knowledge of database and SQL
- High autonomy in using GIT
Preferred skills
- Hands-on experience using A.R.M. and Texas Instruments platforms for embedded systems
- Experience with Linux and GNU tools such as make, G.C.C., and debuggers such as G.D.B.
- Experience with scripting languages such as bash and Python
- Experience within the aerospace industry
Employment Terms
- Employment contract: Permanent contract directly with Tyvak International
- Working hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Gross Annual Salary (RAL): €30,000 – €35,000, depending on the candidate’s experience and skills

Work Environment
You will join a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment where engineering, manufacturing, and operations work side-by-side. The role is primarily office-based and involves the daily use of standard workplace tools and equipment (computer, communication systems, documentation tools). You will also interface regularly with production, integration, and testing areas, gaining exposure to the full satellite lifecycle.
