Join FBK-SD’s Custom Radiation Sensors unit to develop cutting-edge silicon radiation detectors and related technologies. You will lead design, simulations and experimental work, collaborating with cross-functional teams to advance high-performance sensors for scientific, medical, and space applications. The role offers a tenure-track path toward a permanent R3 position and features leadership in projects within IPCEI ME/CT. Innovative R&D; for radiation sensor technologies tailored to application needs
TCAD-based device and structure simulations; wafer layout design
Advanced characterization of sensor performance and data analysis
Coordinate scientific/industrial collaborations and project proposals
Dissemination, networking, and reporting; organize technical events
Collaborate with process scientists, engineers, and external partners
PhD in Physics, Engineering or related fields
Proven xbvzest experience in silicon radiation sensors development and characterization
Experience with TCAD simulation tools and layout design tools
Experience with LGADs, inverted LGADs, strip/s 3D sensors
Experience with sensors for space and x-ray photon science
Proficiency in data analysis with ROOT, MATLAB, Python
Experience in project coordination with industrial/academic partners
Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities
