As Asset Equipment Production Engineer, you will lead technical aspects of Pipe Lay Equipment (PLE) and ensure timely, fit-for-purpose provision for offshore projects. You will collaborate with the Offshore E&C; - Pipeline Technologies team to define requirements, evaluate bids, interface with suppliers, and supervise PLE integration and testing. This role supports Saipem’s energy transition by enabling safe, efficient offshore construction and wind projects. You will work across disciplines, travel for project needs, and contribute to strategy upgrades and equipment investments.

- Define PLE equipment requirements in technical supply specs
- Prepare technical bid evaluations for PLE equipment
- Interface with PLE suppliers (technical and management)
- Manage allocation of PLE families
- Align PLE provision with project needs and timelines
- Contribute to PLE strategy upgrades and investments
- Supervise PLE integration with correlated machines and participate in Final Acceptance tests
- 6-8 years experience as Asset Equipment Engineer or similar
- Strong interdisciplinary knowledge of equipment development/integration
- Good understanding of automation principles and devices (PLC, Profinet, CAN Open, EtherCAT)
- Proactive team player with strong supplier collaboration
- Good AutoCAD knowledge
- Good electrical drawing literacy
- Proficient in MS Office
- English proficiency at least B2 (written and spoken)
