We are seeking an experienced and highly attentive Overnight Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of Relais Borgo Santo Pietro in Chiusdino throughout the night. You will combine strong observational skills, sound judgement, and discretion with a high level of vigilance and a hands-on approach to security operations, with a particular focus on the continuous monitoring of CCTV systems and the prompt identification and response to any unusual or suspicious activity.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Continuously monitor CCTV cameras and security systems throughout the overnight shift, maintaining a high level of focus and awareness.
- Identify, assess, and promptly investigate suspicious activity, unusual behaviour, safety concerns, unauthorized access, or other potential security incidents.
- Maintain clear and accurate records of CCTV observations, incidents, actions taken, and relevant overnight activity.
- Conduct regular security patrols of the property, including guest areas, entrances and exits, back-of-house areas, service corridors, and other designated locations.
- Monitor access points and support the control of employee, contractor,



and guest access during overnight hours.
- Respond promptly to security alerts, alarms, disturbances, emergencies, and requests for assistance.
- Coordinate with the overnight operational team and relevant departments when security or safety concerns arise.
- Escalate serious incidents to management and, when required, emergency services in accordance with established procedures.
- Preserve confidentiality and handle CCTV footage and security-related information with the highest level of discretion and in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Support emergency procedures, including evacuation, fire response, medical incidents, and other critical situations.
- Complete detailed incident reports and provide an accurate handover to the incoming Security team or management.
- Assist in protecting guests, employees, property, assets, and confidential information at all times.
- Maintain a visible yet discreet security presence while consistently delivering professional and courteous service.
- Coordinate with the external security company, ensuring effective communication, alignment on security procedures, and timely follow-up on any incidents or concerns.

Who you are:

- Previous experience in security, surveillance, loss prevention, hospitality security, or a similar role is preferred.
- Experience monitoring CCTV and electronic security systems is strongly preferred.
- Excellent observation skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain sustained concentration during overnight hours.
- Strong situational awareness and sound decision-making skills.
- Ability to remain calm, discreet, and professional during emergencies or challenging situations.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare accurate incident reports.
- High level of integrity, reliability, and confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with the wider overnight team.
- Availability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
