Overview

A warm, down-to-earth family is seeking an experienced travel nanny to assist with the care of their 5-month-old daughter during a holiday in Florence. The nanny will accompany the family while sightseeing, dining out, and exploring Florence. The parents would like their daughter included in their plans, with the nanny providing hands-on support and taking over when the baby becomes unsettled or requires individual attention. The ideal candidate will be energetic and comfortable with extensive walking and busy days out.

The position runs from August 20–29th, 2026, for 12 hours per day, with flexibility around the family’s plans. The nanny will stay in a separate hotel and will be provided with a private room and bathroom. The family will cover agreed travel to Florence and taxis back to the nanny’s hotel at the end of each shift.

Responsibilities

- Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for a 5-month-old baby
- Accompany the family on sightseeing excursions, walks, and visits to restaurants
- Soothe and care for the baby when she becomes unsettled or needs to step away from an activity
- Follow the baby’s established feeding, sleep, and daily routines
- Assist with bottles, changing, bathing,



and other child-related duties
- Prepare and carry the baby’s supplies for days out
- Maintain complete discretion and respect the family’s privacy

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be an experienced infant and travel nanny who is energetic, physically active, and comfortable with extensive walking and busy days out. They should be down-to-earth, polished, flexible, and easy to have around, while remaining attentive to the baby’s comfort and needs. Fluent English is preferred, and some knowledge of Italian would be advantageous. The nanny should be well-presented and comfortable accompanying the family to restaurants.

Requirements

- Professional experience caring for infants of a similar age
- Previous travel-nanny experience

- Fluent English
- Physically fit and comfortable with considerable walking

- Valid passport
- Excellent, verifiable references
- Available from August 20–29, 2026

Salary and Benefits

€300+ per day, depending on experience. A private hotel room and bathroom, agreed travel to Florence, and taxis back to the nanny’s hotel at the end of each shift will be provided.
