Cafe Emilia is looking for a passionate and reliable Coffee Shop Chef to join our friendly team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys preparing fresh, high-quality food in a busy café environment. You will be responsible for cooking and serving breakfast and lunch dishes, maintaining high food standards, and helping to deliver an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch menu items.
- Follow recipes and food preparation standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen environment.
- Assist with washing up, storing supplies correctly, and keeping work areas tidy.
- Follow all food hygiene, health and safety, and cleanliness standards.
- Work closely with the Café Manager and front-of-house team to ensure excellent food and service.




- Contribute ideas for menu development and adapt dishes to meet customer requirements where possible.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including food preparation, cleaning, stock checks, and inventory control.
- Order food supplies and monitor stock levels.
- Work efficiently under pressure and meet service deadlines.

Essential Requirements

- Previous kitchen or chef experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Must hold a valid visa (if applicable) and have the right to work in Guernsey.
