WHO WE ARE
Reply specialises in the design and implementation of solutions based on new communication channels and digital media. As a network of highly specialised companies, Reply supports major industrial groups in the telecom and media; industry and services; banking and insurance and public sectors in defining and developing business models enabled by the new paradigms of AI, cloud computing, digital media and the internet of things. Reply's services include: consulting, system integration and digital services.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Core activities. Once a use case is specified, you make sure it gets delivered — on scope, on date, with the client knowing where it stands throughout. You will hold the client interface from the specification sprint to the final handover: domain-expert workshops, C-level steering meetings, status and bad news early. You will plan the delivery phases — data, adaptation, eval, deployment — and close each one on an explicit exit criterion. And you will keep allocation, effort and timeline against plan, putting every scope change through formal change control.
- Tech & Tools Stack. Delivery may be a custom model built end to end, a distilled or optimised version of an existing one, an agentic system tuned for cost and latency, a platform rollout on the client's side, or a broader AI programme spanning several of these. You will work with project and portfolio tooling and read — not write — what the engineering team produces: eval reports, GPU-hour and token estimates, and the traceability of runs, datasets and models.
- Team work. You are the single counterpart for the client and the connective tissue inside: model design engineers upstream, research and platform engineers building, security and legal on the data dependencies (DPAs, licensing, anonymisation, client samples).
Clients are large enterprises and public institutions, typically with a C-level sponsor and a technical team of their own.
WE'LL TOTALLY LOVE YOU IF YOU HAVE…
- Academic background. Degree in Engineering Management Engineering, Economics or a related field. A technical or quantitative background will help you hold your own with the engineering team.
- Technical & strategic skills. A proven delivery track record in MLOps, AI products and/or Generative models, with clients as your direct counterpart rather than through an account layer, and real planning, budgeting and change-control discipline on projects with hard external dependencies. You don't need to train models or build agents, but you do need to read an eval report, sanity-check a GPU-hour or token estimate, and know why a failed run costs both budget and calendar. You can plan around a scarce shared resource — queued compute, a benchmark window, a client data handover — where the constraint sets the schedule, not headcount. The position is open to varying levels of expertise and seniority.
- Nice to have. PMP, PRINCE2 or Agile certification; delivery experience on AI/ML, MLOps or data-platform programmes; regulated or public-sector programmes; pre-sales and proposal work; multi-vendor or EU-funded programme management.
- Soft skills. Strong facilitation, synthesis and executive communication, ownership without needing formal authority, and fluent English.
WHAT WE OFFER
- An offer tailored to your experience. This position is open to people with varying levels of expertise and seniority.
The compensation package will be determined based on your professional background, technical skills, expertise, and the level of responsibility associated with the role. The collective labour agreement (CCNL) applied is the Italian Metalworking Industry Agreement. The job classification will be assessed starting from level B2, and the gross annual salary (RAL) will range from €37,000 to €65,000. Previous experience manageing the delivery of cutting-edge AI programmes such as Foundation Model and LLM training, distillation and optimisation, Agentic AI systems, and MLOps or data-platform rollouts planned against GPU-hour and token budgets will be considered a strong asset.
- A structured career path.
