About this Role

The Senior Investment Officer for the Agri-Business Capital Fund (ABC Fund) plays a pivotal role in IFAD’s NSO investment strategy. Responsibilities

- Collaborate with country directors and technical specialists on the origination and delivery of NSO investments.
- Develop a pipeline of potential NSO investments focused on job creation and economic empowerment.




- Screen potential NSOs for development impact and financial soundness.
- Provide senior-level support in building operational relationships with private sector partners.
- Lead field and due diligence missions during the project cycle.
- Assist in delivering the PSD work plan and building synergies among teams.

Requirements

- Advanced university degree in Finance, Rural Finance, Agricultural Economics, Business, or a relevant discipline.
- At least eight years of experience in structuring and managing rural finance and agriculture private sector investments.
- Experience as a non-executive board member or investment committee member in impact funds is a plus.
- Excellent proficiency in English; knowledge of French, Spanish, Portuguese, or Arabic is desirable.
- Expertise in private sector investment proposals and due diligence.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
