Technical Trade Compliance Specialist (EMEA) (m/f/d)

In this role you will support import/export, customs and trade compliance for Italy and across the EMEA region, partnering with engineering, manufacturing, logistics, procurement, tax and finance to ensure compliant operations. You will analyze engineering data to determine classification and export control needs, manage licenses and regulatory filings, and contribute to audits and risk assessments. You will drive process improvements and deliver compliance training, with opportunities to expand across multiple sites in the EMEA network.

- Support import, export, customs and trade compliance activities for Italy and across EMEA
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations, export control laws, licensing, sanctions, and local obligations
- Administer customs authorizations, permits, export licenses, and government applications
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, Finance, and Tax teams
- Analyze technical documentation to determine customs/export control requirements




- Assist with customs tariff classification (HS Codes/TARIC) and export control classification
- Support customs clearance reviews and regulatory compliance assessments
- Participate in internal audits, compliance monitoring, and risk-based assessments
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, simplification and compliance automation
- Support regulatory reporting obligations and documentation management
- Deliver compliance awareness initiatives and training
- Partner with technical and engineering teams to reflect regulatory requirements in processes
- Fluent Italian and professional English proficiency
- Experience in engineering, manufacturing, industrial, logistics, or high-tech environments
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing docs
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Self-motivated with accountability and ownership
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced international environment
