ppThe One Mission Society Italy Team has a vision of making reproducing disciples of Jesus Christ and equipping them to be transformational in their spheres of influence. In order to accomplish this vision, the Intern Coordinator , working with in a Disciple-Making team, will model disciple-making practices with individuals and churches in their geographical area in order to steward the conditions for a disciple-making movement to take place. /p pThe intern coordinator manages all aspects of the intern program in Catania. This includes working with the interns before and while in the country. He/she will also maintain the relationships between Search Party and the sending organizations and look for new organizations with which to partner. /p h3Education and Experience Requirements /h3 ul liBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred. /li liExperience with d isciple- m aking processes a plus. /li liExperience working with youth in a ministry setting is preferred but not required . /li /ul h3Skill Requirements /h3 ul liDemonstrated understanding of spiritual disciplines and scriptural application. /li liAbility to network well with partners. /li liAbility to work constructively with team members in the area of disciple-making, showing value and respect for team-members. /li liAbility to learn local language to an intermediate level . /li liMust possess a coachable spirit. /li liPresents themselves well and engages in tasks with enthusiasm. /li liWeave the compassion of Christ into all tasks. /li liAbility to relate to college students and enjoy spending time with them . /li liAbility to seek out and maintain relationships with other agencies, churches, and universities . /li /ul h3Essential Duties and Responsibilities /h3 ul liMaintain a regular and ever-deepening relationship with Jesus Christ through prayer, reading and study of the scriptures, fasting, and other spiritual disciplines. /li liA bide in Christ together with your team including regular times of prayer, fasting, worship, accountability,



and other practices. /li liPersonally engage with and utilize OMS-approved processes to evangelize non-believers and help others to grow in their faith and progress as reproducing disciples of Jesus. /li liWork with the Disciple-Making team to plan and execute a disciple-making process in local churches and networks. ul liWork with partners to start disciple-making ‘bands’ within the churches, train up leaders, and identify future individuals who can help provide leadership locally in this area. /li liSpiritually prepare the church for partnership with Church Development to help the church to reach their local community. /li /ul /li liGive input for developing new strategies and training opportunities in disciple-making. ul liHelp plan conferences, trainings, and work with stewardship teams. /li /ul /li liSeek out and recommend new resources and processes, passing gathered information to leadership for consideration of broad-based implementation for disciple-making. ul liImplement processes for determining which materials undergo translation. /li /ul /li liWork with the Disciple-Making and Church Development teams to develop and maintain and effective process and relationship . /li liAssist as needed in other OMS Country Team ministries, where applicable and appropriate . /li liOut and manage relationships with churches, sending organizations, and universities through which to recruit interns (2 months - 1 year period) . /li liDeveloping/improving intern curriculum and program . /li liLead interns through the pre - field process: pre-field orientation, pre-field training, budgeting, reserving housing and transportation, background checks, etc . /li liOversee interns while in country: training, outreach, fun-days, conflict resolution, etc. /li liMaintain intern tracking spreadsheets . /li liMust be willing to learn the local language to an intermediate level. /li /ul pThis is a support-based position that involves raising financial support through ministry partners for salary and other expenses. /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
