LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist-Hospitals to join our team in Rome NY.
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, scheduled hours vary between 5:00 am - 5:00 pm and alternating Weekends
Job Responsibilities
- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
- Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
- Process billing information and collect payments when required
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs
- Provide superior customer service to all patients
- Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
- Travel to additional sites when needed
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 2 or more years phlebotomy experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Current or Previous LabCorp experience
- 3 or more years’ experience as an in-patient phlebotomist
Additional Job Standards
- In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy cert
