Platform Engineer (Cloud)

Your Role

In this role, you will take end-to-end ownership of infrastructure services across Group IT, delivering and supporting secure, resilient Azure and hybrid cloud solutions that align with business needs. You will act as a hands-on technical specialist, responsible for implementing, maintaining, and continually improving infrastructure throughout its full lifecycle, ensuring high levels of performance, stability, and service availability. You will play a key role in the design, implementation and optimisation of Azure infrastructure, ensuring cloud services are secure, scalable, cost-effective and aligned with best practice.



You will contribute to Azure governance, security and operational excellence through the adoption of Infrastructure as Code, automation, monitoring, and proactive service improvement initiatives

With a strong focus on Azure cloud platforms, you will contribute to the development and evolution of the organisation's cloud strategy, using your operational and project delivery experience to help shape future direction. You will also serve as a 4th Line escalation point, providing expert technical support for complex issues, driving root cause analysis, and implementing long-term improvements that enhance service reliability and efficiency.
