General Summary of the Position:
Perform a variety of tasks involving physical labor maintaining construction equipment, heavy trucks/trailer, vehicles and other miscellaneous construction equipment owned by Hemphill Construction, Suncoast Infrastructure & MSI.

- Performs a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in construction equipment and heavy truck/trailer maintenance.
- May be required to operate equipment to determine proper operation and safety functionality.
- May be required to pressure wash/clean equipment.
- Operates a variety of hand and power tools.




- Maintains a clean service truck or service/shop area; pick up all tools and equipment and secure work area each day in order to eliminate potential hazards.
- Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Bring problems to the attention of the Service Manager, Equipment Manager and/or Safety Director.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of proper use of tools, equipment, materials and supplies used in construction equipment & heavy truck/trailer maintenance.
- Knowledge of applicable safety precautions.
- Knowledge of welding and use of a cutting torch.
- Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical and air conditioning systems.
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.
