Tesco Shift Lead pay starts at £15.59 per hour, rising to £16.86 in stores within the M25. We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week, though roles from 12 hours are also available.
Your contracted hours will be scheduled within the availability windows shown, with at least 3 weeks’ notice of your shifts. Leading the team to deliver a great experience for customers in-store.
Working across all areas of the store and with all colleagues, being the go-to person for day-to-day operational queries.
Confidently leading the store in the Manager’s absence.
Making balanced, flexible decisions and adapting well to change.
Coaching colleagues, giving feedback and role modelling great service.
Staying curious and seeking opportunities to serve our customers, communities,



and planet a little better every day.
Experience working in a team lead or management position in a fast‑paced retail environment.
Be a strong role model with a passion for delivering great service and ensuring every customer’s needs are met.
A clear communicator, using a variety of methods to keep the team well informed.
