Specialista Senior / Project Manager
In this role you will design, develop, and implement firmware for industrial protection circuit breakers and communication modules, contributing to firmware and cybersecurity process improvements. You will work within an R&D; team in a hybrid setup, collaborating with system architects and cross-functional colleagues on iterative delivery. The position supports ABB's Smart Power initiatives and international projects, offering a chance to shape secure, high-quality embedded software. This role combines hands‑on engineering with agile practices to deliver impactful solutions.

- Design, develop, and implement firmware for industrial protection circuit breakers and communication modules
- Contribute to continuous improvement of firmware development and cybersecurity processes
- Perform unit, integration, and system testing to ensure software quality
- Drive IP creation and support secure patent rights discussions
- actively participate in an Agile Scrum team and support sprint ceremonies
- Collaborate with system architects and hardware/software developers to translate requirements into firmware specifications
- C/C++/Python programming
- ≥3 years firmware development for embedded industrial applications (MCUs/MPUs)
- experience with development infrastructure: Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Git, build systems, unit testing, debugging tools
- exposure to cybersecurity concepts and industrial protocols (Modbus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, IEC61850, Profibus, CAN bus)
- experience in Agile Scrum environments and team collaboration
