SMS UK is urgently seeking a Senior System Administrator / Optical Systems Engineer for a 12-month renewable contract based in Rome, Italy. NON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENTS: • Engineering Degree • NOKIA Optics Network Planning Specialist / Professional Certification • Product Accreditation Expert Level in Optical Networks • Minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience with Passive Optical Networks (FTTH, MAN, Backbone) Technical Skills Required: • Strong expertise in Optical Network Design & Mapping • Experience with Arc GIS and/or QGIS • Knowledge of Asset Management platforms such as Smallworld PNI and/or Hexagon • Ability to support client-site optical design and mapping activities Location: Rome, Italy (On-site) Start Date: ASAP Contract: 12 months renewable Candidates meeting the above certification and technical requirements are invited to send their CV and rate details.
