ERM is looking for a motivated Consultant to join our Corporate Sustainability & Climate Change (CSCC) team in Milan. You will support corporate and financial-sector clients in developing robust GHG inventories, product and process Life Cycle Assessment (LCA),decarbonisationstrategies, climate-risk advisory and high-quality client deliverables that translate technical analysis into actionable sustainability recommendations.
Key responsibilities
Support the delivery of sustainability and climate-change projects including GHG inventories, carbon footprint tools, product LCA,decarbonisationroadmaps, climate-riskassessments .
Support the development of science-based targets,decarbonisationpathwaysand transition plans, translating quantitative outputs into pragmatic recommendations for clients.
Prepare client-ready deliverables such as Excel-based tools, PowerPoint presentations, methodological slides,reportsand training materials on the above topics.
Collaborate with Italian and international colleagues,
coordinating inputs from technical experts and project managers whilemaintainingclear communication on deadlines,workloadand quality expectations.
Contribute to proposals and commercial materials involving the above topics.
Your profile
Experience in sustainability, climatechangeor ESG consulting/industry, ideally with exposure to corporate and/orfinancial-sectorclients.
Strong technical knowledge in at least two of the following areas: GHG accounting, LCA, product carbonfootprinting, SBTi-aligned target setting,decarbonisationpathways, climate-risk assessment.
Familiarity withrecognisedstandards and frameworks such as ISO 14040/44, ISO 14064, GHG Protocol, SBTi, TCFD/ISSB-oriented climate disclosure, or equivalent methodologies.
Comfort with quantitative analysis, structured Excel models, data qualitychecksand clear documentation of assumptions and limitations.
Ability to explain technical methodologies to clients and convert analysis into clear recommendations,reports
